petroglyphs museum in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan

I  walked 2.5 miles to the petroglyphs museum in Cholpon-Ata. I ran into a group of three including one Germany geologist who provided a lot interesting info. They are aged from the later Bronze Age (about 1500 BC) predating the arrival of the Kyrgyz in the area. The Saka priests used this sacred site for sacrifices and other rites to the sun god and they lived in the settlements that are currently underwater in the Cholpon-Ata bay. Most are of long-horned ibex, along with some wolves, deer and hunters. I was so tired that I hitch backed to town. By the way, we saw the national team practice on sky rollers on the hill.
