I and another Taiwanese followed the hostel owner to a musical festival in the Junggar Basin, the southern edge of the Gurbantunggut Desert (准噶尔盆地古尔班通古特沙漠) in a reservation area (驼铃梦坡沙漠生态区) that is a primitive, rugged, vast expanse of desert world and a natural desert botanical garden, Green honeysuckle, lush poplar, refreshing salmon, elegant feathers of the plum, to the ugly beauty of the salsame, rich medicinal value of rhubarb, big Yun Huang Qi, "clank clang" sound of the bell spines, The shape of the antlers of the rotten sycamore, there are red blood red willow, composed of a color, taste, sound, phase of the natural landscape. The name of the place came from a famous song/ Meng Tuo Ling (梦驼铃) - Dream of Camel Ring, Lyrics by Xiao Xuan (小轩), Music by Tan Jianchang (谭健常), Produced in 1984.

This Desert Reservation is also a natural zoo, where there is a class of animal protection wild wild donkey and wild boar, gazelle, wolf, fox, jumping mouse, baby snake, sandy birds and other hundreds of species of animals.

We drove 5 hours one way to this wild "camel bell dream slope", climbed the dunes, sandy sea, enjoyed the food festival,  and listened to the rock concert, while enjoying the desert scenery. We got in with the sponsorship of a local recreational vehicle association (waived 80  RMB admission) and they shared BBQ, camping food, and beers with us. Here opened up the sand, and watched the sunrise colorful sunset, etc.

We drove back around 11 pm, but guided by Navigation system to roads under expansion; the hostel owner drove the passenger car like a jeep to get us out of the area and back to town around 3:30 am.
