Almaty free walking tour

Almaty became quiet after September. Only 6 foreigners joined the free walking tour organized by a local tour agency in the hope to get some business for out of Almaty tours.

From its beginnings as a early stone age site to the major trading centre of the Silk Road, from becoming a part of powerful Mongolian Empire to joining Russian Empire, from Soviet past to long anticipated Independent present days ALMATY has 150 water Fountains shared by 2 million people and mostly students which makes the city has a layback atmosphere. Kazakhstan is the world number one flour escorting country so it focuses on agriculture science.

We passed a few monuments and statutes and the tour guide exploded eventful history of Almaty, the appearance of the city and its people, such as The monument dedicated for A.Margulan ― the founder of kazakh archaeology of XX, the monument for Ch.Valikhanov ― kazakh enlightener of democracy, ethnographer, specialist in folklore, traveler, explorer of history and culture of Central Asia, Kazakhstan and East Turkestan of the middle of XIX. We stopped by the Academy of Science ― the center of science, Abay square and Abay Monument, Republic squre and Monument of independence, Monument dawn of freedom, etc.
