Jiayuguan part II, China

Three of us got a ride from a hostelmate who drove a rental car. I got the tickets for three sites but went to two and then took a taxi in order to catch my fast train to Xian (8 hrs, 389 RMB, similar to sleeper train ticket but half of the time). We got the combination tickets (120 RMB) at First Beacon of Great Wall (长城第一墩;changcheng diyi dun) that has a underground exhibit and About 7km Southwest of the Fort.

The we crumbed up the Overhanging Wall. (悬壁长城). There are two different great wall sections, right next to each other. The first section (closest to the city by about 200m) is independently run.  We only crimbed the first section that has a fort and two towers. The second section has two towers and no fort, but the climb is higher, and we saw very few people crimbed it.

It was a pity that I ran out of time to visit the Jiayuguan Fort, although I paid for its admission and saw its garden and museum for free the day before.
