I have been thinking about traveling in Central Asia and the Silk Road for a few years, and finally went and took advantage of the infrastructures built under the Chinese One Belt One Road Project.

I travel 2-3 months each year to experience multicultural life. Most recent 2.5 month Central Asia trip (August - October 2017) to Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Chinese Silk Road, Taiwan. My trip highlights include (1) took 4x4 Jeep Touring Tajikistan Pamir Highway for 8 days, slept in yurts near yak herds, touched many high-altitude lakes, travelling via Wakhan valley along the Afghan border to Khorog; (2) Solo Hiking in Fann Mountains in North Tajikistan for 3 days; (3) crashed 3 Tajikistan weddings; (4) took a 3-day hike from Karakol Valley to Arashan Valley, via Ala-Köl lake, Kyrgyzstan; (5) attended the Falcon/Salburun festival to see world hunting champions perform in south of Lake Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan; (6) Horse hiking at Alpine lake Song-Köl in central Kyrgyzstan; (7) Russian & Turkish bath and SPA treatment in Almaty, Kazakhstan; and (8) Visited 2,300-Year-Old City Jiaohe , Mogao Caves (莫高窟), Crescent Moon sSpring (月牙泉), Overhanging Wall (悬壁长城) of the Great Wall, and Terracotta Warriors and Horses (兵马俑) along Chinese Silk Road.
